Passion and desire -- for relationships, for love, for belonging -- are the themes of this great American drama! The story takes place on the Cabot farm in 1940s New England. The farm is owned by the hard-shelled, powerful and demanding and elderly Ephraim Cabot. His son, Eben, believes he worked his mother to death and stole the land, and he's determined to make it his own. Enter in Ephraim's new, young bride--Abbie, a smart, scheming woman who aims to claim the farm for herself. But desire grows between Eben and Abbie and, exacerbated by this unlikely threesome's pride and passion for the land, devastating struggles and looming tragedy grow!
