Who will survive?
This show first opened in London's West End and, with the one-year exception of the COVID pandemic of 2020, has run continuously since October 6, 1952. The Mousetrap reached a milestone of 30,000 performances in March of 2025. Over 400 actors have played the roles!

CALLING FOR 2ND AUDITIONS
Date: August 14th and 15th
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Cardinal Maxi Storage, 4146 Dr. MLK Blvd Unit #5 New Bern, NC. (storage unit is located in the back.)
Please be prepared to present a one-minute dramatic monologue for your audition. (Or whatever monologue you’re comfortable with.)
LISTED BELOW ARE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
(this can be subject to change based on cast requirements)
Mollie Ralston
Female: Age 20s to early 30s.
New owner/hostess of Monkswell Manor; anxious about hosting the inn’s first guests. Married to Giles for one year.
Giles Ralston
Male: Ages 20s to early 30s.
Owns Monkswell Manor with his wife Mollie. Somewhat arrogant and jealous of the other guests’ attention to Mollie.
Christopher Wren
Male: Ages 20s to early 30s.
The first guest to arrive at the hotel. Wren is a hyperactive young man who acts in a very peculiar manner.
Mrs. Boyle - Female: Ages 40s to 60s.
Mrs. Boyle is an imposing woman in a bad temper. She complains about everything.
Major Metcalf
Male: Ages 40s to 60s.
Middle aged, square shouldered man who is military in manner and bearing. Polite and a good counter for Mrs. Boyle.
Miss Casswell
Female: 20s to 30s.
A strange, aloof, and somewhat masculine woman who speaks offhandedly about the horrific experiences of her childhood.
Mr. Paravicini
Male: Ages 30s to 50s.
A man of unknown provenance who turns up claiming his car has overturned in the snowdrift. He appears to be affecting a foreign accent and is artificially aged up via makeup.
Sgt. Trotter
Male: Age late 20s to early 40s.
A cheerful, common place man who turns up on skis to investigate a local murder.
